Privacy Policy
Effective July 27, 2026
BoatTechJobs.com (the “Site”) is operated by Clement Sarion, d/b/a BoatTechJobs (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what we collect and what we do with it. The short version: we collect as little as possible, and we do not sell it.
1. What we collect
Job seekers. You can browse every listing on this Site without giving us anything. We do not require an account to search or read listings.
Email subscribers. If we operate a job digest and you subscribe to it, we store your email address and any preferences you select at signup. Nothing else.
Employers. If you submit a listing, we store the business contact details you provide for that listing.
Automatically. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) and an aggregate count of outbound clicks per listing. The click counter records a listing identifier and a timestamp. It does not record who you are.
2. What we do not collect
We do not host job applications and we do not operate a résumé database. When you apply to a job, you leave this Site and apply directly with the employer. We never see your application, your résumé, or your work history. We do not run automated screening, ranking, scoring, or AI matching of candidates, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
3. How we use what we collect
To operate and secure the Site, to send a digest if you have asked for one, to respond when you contact us, and to understand in aggregate which listings are useful. That is the entire list.
4. Sharing
We share information only with vendors who run the Site for us (hosting, email delivery, payment processing), and only as needed to do that work. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
5. Retention
Any subscriber email we hold is kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept on a rolling short-term basis. Because we do not store applications, there is no application data to retain.
6. Your choices and rights
If we operate an email digest, every message will carry an unsubscribe link that works. Depending on where you live — including under the laws of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and New Jersey — you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information we hold about you, and to appeal a refusal. To exercise any of these rights, or to ask that a listing about your business be corrected or taken down, use our removal and correction form. We respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies
We use only what is needed to make the Site work and to measure aggregate traffic. You can block cookies in your browser; the Site will still function.
8. Children
The Site is intended for people seeking employment and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
9. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above. Material changes will be announced on the Site.
10. Contact
Questions about this policy, or requests relating to your information, go through our contact and removal form.
